Its aphrodisiac abilities were discovered when a Chinese goat herder noticed increased sexual activity in his flock after they ingested the weed.
How does it work?
It appears to inhibit the PDE-5 enzyme, which is the same way that canadian Viagra works. It works by increasing levels of nitric oxide, which relax the smooth muscle In the penis.
As far as sexual health, horny goat weed may increase the size of the capillaries and other blood vessels and may even lower blood pressure. The plant may stimulate the production of testosterone, which can affect the power of your erection and ejaculation

It is sold as a health supplement; usually in raw herb, tablet, or capsule form and sometimes blended with other supplements
Have you tried it?
I have tried a cheap brand one time. I didn’t really see any results from it from taking that bottle. Maybe a more expensive brand would make a difference. You know there’s some truth to the old saying; you get what you pay for.
I have used different formulations that contained but that couldn’t tell you if it was effective. You can read the labels on different formulations to see which contain the herb. Or you can buy it as a stand alone herb and see how it works buy itself.

Chinese Horny goat weed is said to possess aphrodisiac effects and improve impotence, sperm count, and premature ejaculation. It’s my personal opinion based on the one bottle that I’ve been through that this product does not live up to its name.
